Rhian Hughes

Mae gan Rhian dros 20 mlynedd o brofiad o weithio o fewn yr agenda cynhwysiant ariannol a mynd i’r afael â thlodi yng Nghymru. Hi oedd Hyrwyddwr Cynhwysiant Ariannol Gogledd Cymru. Yn ogystal â gweithio’n agos gyda Llywodraeth Cymru, mae ganddi brofiad hefyd o weithio gyda’r sectorau cyhoeddus, preifat a’r trydydd sector i flaenoriaethu lles ariannol dinasyddion yng Nghymru. Mae hi wedi gweithio'n agos gyda llywodraeth leol, cymdeithasau tai, undebau credyd a'r sector cynghori ledled Cymru.

Yn fwy diweddar, mae Rhian wedi gweithio yn y sector iechyd meddwl yng Ngogledd Cymru, yn gyntaf i elusen iechyd meddwl sy'n creu mentrau newydd gyda sefydliadau partner i gefnogi unigolion, gofalwyr a theuluoedd â phroblemau iechyd meddwl i oresgyn rhwystrau. Yn dilyn hyn, gweithiodd i’r Adran Gwaith a Phensiynau yn cefnogi staff ar ymwybyddiaeth iechyd meddwl a lles ariannol gan alluogi cefnogaeth ychwanegol i gwsmeriaid. Hefyd adeiladu perthnasoedd gwaith agosach rhwng yr Adran Gwaith a Phensiynau a sefydliadau eraill, gan gynnwys y bwrdd iechyd lleol.

Mae Rhian yn medru’r Gymraeg.

Rhian has over 20 years experience of working within the financial inclusion and tackling poverty agenda in Wales. She was the Financial Inclusion Champion for North Wales. As well as working closely with Welsh Government, she is also experienced in working with the public, private and third sector to prioritise the financial wellbeing of citizens in Wales. She has worked closely with local government, housing associations, credit unions and the advice sector across Wales.
More recently, Rhian has worked within the mental health sector in North Wales, firstly for a mental health charity creating new initiatives with partner organisations to support individuals, carers and families with mental health problems to overcome barriers. Following this, working for DWP supporting staff on mental health awareness and financial wellbeing enabling additional support for customers. Also building closer working relationships between DWP and other organisations, including the local health board.
Rhian is a fluent Welsh speaker.
